About Winter Rose Equestrian IEA Team
Winter Rose Equestrian Team is a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization and Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) riding team that helps youths in grades 4-12 achieve their dreams of training and participating in competitive equestrian shows at the local, regional, zone, and national level, while promoting lifelong involvement in equestrian athletics. The WRE IEA team trains and operates out of Winter Rose Equestrian Center located at 6740 E. Jomax Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85331.
Horse shows are expensive and normally requires each youth to own or lease a horse to participate in competitive shows. IEA offers this competition opportunity for those who wouldn’t be able to afford this experience otherwise. By raising funding through donations and sponsorships, Winter Rose Equestrian Team can provide horses, coaches, equipment, teamwear, and financial aid to youth participants for IEA horse shows at all levels. Our team aims to provide more than just an avenue for competition, we strive to promote teamwork, well-rounded horsemanship, and community service. With your generous support we can help these young athletes have their best season.

testimonials
Horseback riding means so much to me because it has taught me discipline, patience, and confidence. Through riding, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with fantastic mentors (like Rachel and Taryn) and build amazing friendships. Horseback riding has also given me a sense of purpose and pride, pushing me to work hard and constantly improve. I’ve grown so much at my barn, Winter Rose, which has truly become a second home to me. I want to continue growing in this sport I love and to keep learning and riding at Winter Rose.
I started riding when I was just two years old, and my love for horses has only grown stronger with time. What began as a childhood passion has become a central part of who I am. The bond I have with each horse is built on trust, patience, and mutual respect. Through these relationships, I have learned to be resilient, compassionate, and strong. Riding is more than a sport to me, it is also a connection to my late grandma, who was always there watching my lessons and cheering me on. She shared in my love for horses, and her memory continues to inspire me every day. Horses have shaped my character and given me a sense of purpose.
